I am passionate about GP locums and “fell” into recruitment 20 years ago having completed my VTS 5 years prior to that. Doc2docs has been a channel for me to further the cause of GP locums. I have been a GP appraiser since the outset of appraisals and have established through our local deanery, meetings for all locums to attend to be able to discuss their clinical concerns in a confidential manner with peers. I have also been a mentor and clinical supervisor in the Out of Hours setting.
Medicine has been my life; I continue to work up to 10 sessions per week, but I do enjoy other pursuits such as skiing and tennis although time has been my failing in pursuing these.
I come from a family of architects and appreciate the aesthetic nature of buildings.
I am happy to be married to Joanna and we have three grown up children, some of whom still live at home! We have three dogs, a cat and three goldfish.
My ideal car would be a Bentley Continental GT coupe and my favourite cake is a Polish poppyseed cake.
