Doc2docs is an Educational provider for the Severn Deanery (School of Primary Care) and regularly holds and facilitates evening meetings for its locums and all other doctors and nurses whether they are registered with the company or not. We see this as a means of sharing knowledge amongst those embarking on a career in General Practice to those already established in practice either as partners or sessional GPs and finally to the retirees from practice.
The spur to develop these meetings arose from the needs of sessional GPs to discuss clinical cases (complaints, significant events and clinical conundrums) in a confidential manner with their peers for purposes of Appraisal and Revalidation.
The meetings will now be held at
St Lawrence Church Hall Lounge (upstairs)
High Street, Stroud GL5 1AP
The dates for the meetings until the summer recess in 2020 are currently on hold as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic situation:
PLEASE NOW NOTE THAT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE THESE MEETINGS WHENEVER THEY ARE SCHEDULED WILL BE HELD REMOTELY VIA A SKYPE CONFERENCING FACILITY.
Doc2docs also runs Basic Life Support Courses.
These always popular BLS COURSES are usually held twice a year. Please let the office know whether you wish to book a place as numbers are limited. Some comments from one of our most recent courses “very useful and tailored well to the GP setting” and “very good recap with focus on the GP environment.”
We are able to run courses at short notice should the need arise. Please contact the office for more details about this.
Food is provided by a local delicatessen at all these events.
Dates for all these events are regularly published on this website, by email and through our Twitter feed @doc2docs.
