You may be a single handed practice or a large multi national organisation.

Whichever is the case, our aim is to offer the same unrivalled and personal care that you would expect of a company dealing with medical professionals who themselves offer a personal service.

Cost and quality remain key issues when chosing an agency to look after your patients. By virtue of being a GP medically led company we are able to offer a clinical governance and support system that our competitors struggle to emulate. “Where we go, others follow.

As far as possible we aim to introduce doctors who are local to your Practice so that they are well versed with the pathways needed to be followed. Where this is sometimes not possible, the doctors are briefed about your particular Practice and with their experience, will fit seamlessly into the working day.

OUR SERVICE

We trust that you will find us helpful. Our aim is to offer a trouble free introductory service at a time when you may need more support as a result of staffing shortfalls.

We are able to recruit and introduce GPs from all over the UK and abroad to fulfil a variety of work commitments such as:

  • Regular Daytime sessional work
  • Full time Practice staffing
  • “Out of Hours” work
  • Permanent placements as salaried GPs or Principals
  • Maternity and sabbatical locums
  • Prison work
  • MOD work
  • Success and Choice plus sessions

Within the constraints of the Data Protection Act we are able to supply you with details about the type of doctor you can expect to undertake your working requirements. In some circumstances we have been able to assist in searching for a doctor with a particular skill mix.

OUR DOCTORS

In order to practise medicine a doctor will have undertaken many years of training both pre and post graduation. We respect this. However, we ensure that all our doctors meet certain minimum standards before they are placed as sessional GPs:

  • Up to date Curriculum Vitae
  • Two recent references
  • Evidence of GMC (General Medical Council) Registration
  • Evidence of Medical Indemnity
  • Eligibility to practise as a GP – JCPTGP (Joint Certificate for Postgraduate Training in General Practice) certificate or exemption. Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) for General Practice from the PMETB (Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board)
  • Retention on a Medical Performers list

This is not an exhaustive list. Above all, we try and make sure that the doctors are personable, well prepared and briefed for their assignments. In line with current NHS policy, we are ensuring that all doctors introduced to you have their own SMART cards. As part of our Quality Assurance we will regularly contact you for feedback regarding these doctors.

OUR NURSES

In order to practise as a Nurse, these professionals will have undertaken years of training, some in an Advanced Practitioner role to Degree standards. However, we ensure that all the nurses that we introduce to you meet certain minimum standards before they are placed as locums:

  • Up to date Curriculum Vitae
  • Two recent references
  • Evidence of NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) Registration
  • Evidence of RCN membership (for Indemnity purposes) especially if working independently
  • Eligibility to practise as a Nurse with PIN number verification

This is not an exhaustive list. Above all, we try and make sure that the nurses are personable, well prepared and briefed for their assignments. As part of our Quality Assurance we will regularly contact you for feedback regarding them.

REGISTRATION

We ask that you provide us with some essential core information and also undertake to inform us of any ongoing changes within your practice or organisation so that we can maintain accurate records. This serves to ensure that all the doctors are well prepared when they attend your place of work and assists with making an efficient use of their time.

In some circumstances we have assisted with the preparation of “locum folders” and other key documents and helpsheets that sessional (locum) GPs find essential to their working lives. We encourage feedback from all doctors as we believe that these forms of critique are useful to any business. We are also able to offer a consultancy and management service in for example, staffing a practice full time. Please call our office should you need to discuss this aspect of our business further.

CHARGES

We have always tried to remain competitive and mindful of ensuring a fair administration charge for use of our services. Above all, we are transparent in our pricing. We are able to offer discounted rates for volumes of work. Our fees for permanent placements are based on our success without asking you for any upfront payments. We do, however, apply VAT at the prevailing rate on the Company administrative charge and also on the health professionals charges. This follows HMRC ruling with reference to the onward supply to a third party who is legally responsible for providing health care to the final patient (HMRC Reference: Notice 701/57 November 2012). Please call us on 01453 756993 to discuss our charges further. We are fair and honest in our approach to pricing.
